Exchange Rate History: New INR Calculator Feature (V2.2)

New feature. We have added an exchange rate history option to the Indian Rupee Calculator and instant currency converter. Just click the graph icon next to the currency selected in INR plus mode and you get an instant snapshot of how your currency has moved against the rupee, with clear period highs and lows.

What the exchange rate history shows you

Choose 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or 180 days and the chart updates instantly. Under each chart you will see the current rate, the change over the period in both rupees and percentage terms, and the period low and period high. It covers the six currencies our clients use most for cross-border transfers:

    • GBP to INR — British Pound to Indian Rupee
    • USD to INR — US Dollar to Indian Rupee
    • EUR to INR — Euro to Indian Rupee
    • AUD to INR — Australian Dollar to Indian Rupee
    • CAD to INR — Canadian Dollar to Indian Rupee
    • AED to INR — UAE Dirham to Indian Rupee

Rates work in both directions, so it is just as useful whether you are sending money to India or repatriating funds from India.

Why this matters for cross-border currency conversion

Timing is one of the few parts of a transfer you can influence. Seeing where today's rate sits against the last week, month or six months tells you whether you are near the top or the bottom of the recent range — useful context before converting a lump sum, funding an NRE or NRO account, paying property costs, or moving pension or sale proceeds between the UK and India.

We listened to client feedback — V2.2 is live

The most common request was simple: "show me where the rate has been, not just where it is now." Version 2.2 delivers exactly that, alongside a cleaner chart layout and a one-tap refresh.

Still the only calculator of its kind

    • Crores and lakhs formatting — results shown in the Indian numbering system alongside thousands, millions and billions
    • Instant currency conversion built into the calculator, not bolted on
    • Clean, simple layout that is genuinely easy to use
    • No adverts and completely free
    • Save it like an app — add it to your home screen, no download or app store needed

We have not found another calculator that combines rupee-first formatting, live rates and rate history in one place.

    Try the exchange rate history

Open the Indian Rupee Calculator, tap the graph icon beside the live rate, or go straight to the exchange rate history charts.

Indicative mid-market rates recorded hourly. Rates offered by banks and remittance providers will differ.
