Harvinder brings a wealth of experience, recently retiring from her role as CEO of bksb UK Limited, a company she took from scratch to become an award-winning education technology company. bksb writes, develops & supplies online learning solutions for GCSE English, Mathematics & Functional Skills.
bksb products are used by approximately 85% of Further Education Colleges in England, ranging from secondary schools, training providers, 100% of prisons, the armed forces, 100% of NHS Trusts and many more large and small, public & private sector companies
Their products are deployed in all major continents, contextualised for the various curriculum/markets. In 2015 bksb established an Indian company to work with key educational institutions in the state of Punjab. It also has a distribution partnership in Australia, which has secured a client base of over 65% of TAFE Colleges. It is one of only a handful of Australian government-approved suppliers of online English and Maths eLearning.
Harvinder was a vital part of creating the original product at West Nottinghamshire College back in 1997. She was highly influential in its transition from an in-house solution to a globally successful education technology company.
Under her guidance, the company exceeded company income targets by achieving a 50% increase in operating profit year on year, accomplished with little investment and with a team of just 24 full-time staff.

Despite facing early challenges and prejudices from family, friends and colleagues, Harvinder has risen to become a prominent figure, raising the bar for Sikh women in business globally. Harvinder was the 2016 winner of the Businesswoman of the Year at the British Indian Awards and ranked in the top 250 most influential Sikh women in business. She has also been a finalist at the National Business Women’s Awards for the last three years. Harvinder is perfectly poised to help UK based clients to discover their opportunities in India.
