Harvinder's Achievements

Harvinder brings extensive experience, having recently retired as CEO of bksb UK Limited, which she built into an award-winning ed-tech company. bksb develops online learning solutions for GCSE English, Mathematics, and Functional Skills.

bksb's products are used by around 85% of Further Education Colleges in England, as well as secondary schools, training providers, the armed forces, all NHS Trusts, all prisons, and various public and private sector organizations.

bksb's products are used worldwide, tailored to different curricula and markets. In 2015, it launched an Indian branch to support key institutions in Punjab. In Australia, its distribution partnership serves over 65% of TAFE Colleges, making it one of the few government-approved eLearning providers for English and Maths.

Harvinder played a key role in developing the original bksb product at West Nottinghamshire College in 1997. She was instrumental in transforming it from an in-house solution into a globally successful ed-tech company.

Under Harvinder's leadership, bksb achieved a 50% annual increase in operating profit, surpassing income targets with minimal investment and a dedicated team of just 24.

bksb are proud winners of the BETT Awards Company of the Year 2016, 2017 and 2018 - one of the worlds most prestigious edtech award.

Overcoming early challenges and prejudices, Harvinder has become a global inspiration for Sikh women in business. She won Businesswoman of the Year at the 2016 British Indian Awards and ranks among the top 250 most influential Sikh women in business. A three-time finalist at the National Business Women’s Awards, she is perfectly positioned to help UK clients unlock opportunities in India.
